一年采毛４次，即一季度采毛一次。幼兔以在出生后２個月剪胎毛為宜。采毛的方式有兩種：

一是拔毛

適合在春末和深秋換毛時節(jié)，扯長留短，提高毛質(zhì)和售價，促進(jìn)新毛生長。一般在兔換毛季節(jié)不宜剪毛，因剪毛而毛根未脫，會阻礙新毛長出，出現(xiàn)新毛生長稀疏或局部不長。拔毛時，宜小撮小撮地扯。對懷孕母兔、哺乳母兔、幼兔暫不拔毛。

不牽拉兔皮膚，以免剪傷皮肉。剪到胸腹時要避開乳頭，對公兔要避免剪傷睪丸，剪下的兔毛要按毛的長度和質(zhì)量分級存放。特級為６．５厘米以上，一級為５．１厘米以上，二級為３．８厘米以上，三級為２．５厘米以上，凡粘結(jié)、黃次均屬此級。
